This page explains how we protect smelted.ai and the information you send us. Smelted never holds the datasets that sellers license, so there is no store of seller data to breach.
We never hold seller datasets
Smelted never receives, stores or processes the datasets that sellers license. When we introduce an approved buyer to a seller, the buyer and seller sign an NDA directly with each other. The seller then shares any sample and delivers the data directly to the buyer.
Because we never hold that data, there is no store of seller datasets at Smelted to breach.
Anonymous listings
Every listing on our marketplace is anonymized. We review each buyer’s request before we introduce the buyer to a seller.
The site checks every listing when it is built. It refuses to publish a listing that contains an email address, a phone number or wording we have banned.
No accounts or uploads
The site has no user accounts, logins or passwords, so there are no passwords to steal. It accepts no file uploads. Apart from analytics, the only information the site takes in is what you type into our forms.
Protected forms
Our forms have spam protection, including a hidden field that people never see and bots tend to fill in. Each form also limits how often a single network address can send it.
Hosting
Vercel hosts the site and serves everything over HTTPS.
Who can see what you send
Access to our CRM, our email and our private store of form submissions is limited to the Smelted team. Our privacy policy lists the services we use and what each one does.

If you think you’ve found a security problem on smelted.ai, email team@smelted.ai with what you found and how to reproduce it. Please don’t access or change anyone else’s information while you look.
